In Global Missions

Southern Sudan

FMBC has been very active in a global partnership with missionaries in Southern Sudan.  Sudan is one of the most diverse countries in the world.  More than 650 different tribes speak more than 250 different languages.  FMBC has adopted an area of S. Sudan, just north of the city of Rumbek, known as Pakam.  Over the last five years we have taken annual mission trips to this very remote area and started four churches and trained 12 pastors.  If you would like to work on this initiative, contact Pastor Tim.

Shoes for Orphan Souls

FMBC participates in the Shoes for Orphan Souls ministry each year.  This ministry collects shoes and other gifts for orphans in the USA and other places throughout the world.  Because of this ministry, many kids are able to have presents under the tree at Christmas-time.  For more information, contact Susan McAfee.

Missions Support

We support a large number of missionaries, both American and international.  We also support denominational missions through the Dallas Baptist Association, Baptist General Convention of Texas, North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board.  If you are interested , please contact Sid Morrison for information.

Great Commission Initiative

Great Commission Initiative (GCI) is a collaborative effort of FMBC, several associations, state conventions and the International Mission Board.  Our goal is to facilitate global church planting movements by training motivated individuals in the latest missionary practices from around the world in such a way that they are applicable in North America.  For more information on this training, contact Tim Ahlen.
